Options & Pricing
What Is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation treatment. Your esthetician uses a sterile scalpel blade on a dermaplane handle to gently glide across the skin. The blade lifts away dead skin cells and the fine vellus hair known as "peach fuzz." The result is smoother, brighter-looking skin, and makeup and skincare go on more evenly afterward. At HE Med Spa in South Tulsa, every dermaplane treatment is customized to your skin.
Who Performs It
Licensed estheticians Stephanie Bourget, Vanessa Luongo (RN/Esthetician) and Vee Bowers all perform dermaplaning.
Which Version Is Right for You?
Dermaplane Facial (about 60 minutes): double cleanse, dermaplaning, and a hydrating mask while you enjoy a hand and arm massage. We finish with serum, eye cream, lip cream, moisturizer and SPF. It's the full, relaxing experience.
Dermaplane Express (30 to 45 minutes): double cleanse, dermaplaning, then serum, moisturizer and SPF. It's ideal on a lunch break or before an event.
Pro Dermaplane (about 60 minutes): double cleanse, dermaplaning, then nourishing products paired with red light therapy before your finishing products. Choose this for the most glow.
Who It's For
- Anyone who wants peach fuzz gone and a smoother skin texture
- Clients whose makeup looks cakey or doesn't sit evenly
- Dull skin that needs a brightening, exfoliating reset
- Anyone getting ready for an event, photos or a special occasion
Who Should Wait
- Recent Accutane use
- Active, inflamed acne
- Sunburn
- Unhealed wounds on the face
Before your visit, stop Retin-A for 7 days and pause any exfoliating products. Questions? Call (539) 777-3671.
Aftercare
- Skin may feel a little sensitive, like mild windburn or sunburn. That's normal.
- Skip harsh exfoliants for 72 hours.
- Avoid sun, heat, saunas and sweaty workouts for 24 hours.
- Wear SPF every day, because fresh skin is more sun-sensitive.
Results
Most clients leave with smooth, glowing skin that feels soft to the touch, and their makeup and skincare apply more evenly. Results vary from person to person and are not guaranteed. Ask your esthetician how often to book for your skin type.
